Sullivan County Amber Alert Activated

The Oneonta Police Department is reporting an Amber Alert that was activated last evening out of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office after a couple allegedly abducted four children in their custody.

5-year-old Gabriella Torres, 4-year-old Jacob Esquilin, 2-year-old Jionni Torres and 6-month-old Assata Mari Franklin were abducted by 27-year-old Tina Esquilin and 30-year-old Alfred Franklin Jr. who have a violent history.  At around 6 p.m. Wednesday, the two fled with the children following a court order removing the children from their custody due to neglect and suspected drug activity.

Esquilin has black hair and brown eyes, is 5 feet and 4 inches tall and weighs about 169 pounds.

Franklin Jr. also has black hair, is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 220 pounds.

Anyone with any information on this alleged abduction is asked to call the Sullivan County Sheriff’s office at (866) NYS-AMBER or dial 911 to provide further information on a report or sighting.
