Stamford Neighbor Dispute Becomes Violent: Two End Up Getting Arrested
Unfortunately, neighbor disputes are not uncommon and one such incident in the Town of Stamford led to arrests from the Delaware County Sheriff's deputies. Police were called to a residence at 60 River Street on July 31st where a neighbor dispute was going on.
According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, 58-year-old Kenneth Utter and 69-year-old Janet Starkweather, both of Stamford, had been arguing that escalated to blows being exchanged.
Following a victim of harassment complaint, both of them had to appear in Town of Stamford court under a criminal summons issued to both parties. That resulted in charges issued to Utter and Starkweather of one count of harassment in the second degree which the two will answer to answer for at a later court date.
No further details in this case have been revealed.
