St. Rose Senior Soars to American Idol Top 11

Julia Gargano admitted to Brian and Chrissy from the GNA morning show last week that while she's on 'pause' and at home with her family on Staten Island, she really misses playing at her comfy coffee houses in Albany.  Most of all though, she misses her buds from the College of St. Rose whom she'd be graduating with next weekend.  But things could be worse  for Gargano who, along with the rest of America, is seeing her career path soar while her academic path is on hold.  Sunday night on American Idol, it was revealed that this super talented singer/songwriter survived last weeks round of voting and later performed a stunning rendition of Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" as a member of the Idol Top 11.

There will be two more weeks of shows and fingers crossed that Gargano is on both.  The American Idol season 18 finale goes down on Sunday May 17th.
