U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer was in Sidney Thursday announcing his plan to fight for federal funding to build a early flood warning system in Delaware County. According to Schumer's office, the $150,000 grant sought by the county would cover about half the system’s cost. Schumer says not having the system puts the county’s $400 million tourism industry at risk.
