It was another big weekend for canoe and kayak enthusiasts with the 56th Annual General Clinton Canoe Regatta in Bainbridge, the longest flat water race in the United States.  General Clinton Park in Bainbridge played host to a big flea market, carnival rides, live music and all kinds of food but the big draw is always the 70-mile Pro Endurance canoe race which brings in the best racers from North America.

According to the regatta website, the winners were Steve Lajoie and Andy Triebold of Michigan with a time of 07:30:11.  Coming in second place with a time of 07:35:27, a familiar General Clinton Canoe Regatta name - Quebec's Serge Corbin with partner Guillaume Blais.  Corbin has won many Regatta races over the years.  Congratulations to an impressive third place finish for Oneonta's Trevor LeFever and Benedict Schlimmer who finished with a time of 07:35:30, only three seconds behind the Corbin and Blais!
