Oneonta NY, a.k.a., "Soccertown USA", has a long history of top notch soccer, beginning with Hartwick College and SUNY Oneonta.  The love of the game grew in the community from that collegiate influence and to this day, the Oneonta Soccer Club, formed in 1978, provides many opportunities for kids to enjoy this exciting sport.

It is with that passion for soccer that the Oneonta Soccer Club, led by Bill Grau, wishes to save the Wright National Soccer Campus, maintained by Otsego County, in terms of keeping it up and running as a soccer facility.

There had been a Radio-a-thon planned this morning to help raise funds toward this goal but Bill Grau informed us that the needed funding for the soccer campus may have already been realized.  It is still being determined, but they are at least close to reaching the goal.  Great news!  We'll have Bill in soon to get an update for you.
