UPDATE: Ariya has been adopted!

Meet the Susquehanna SPCA “Pet of the Week” – her name is “Ariya”.  Each week on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 am on Classic Hits 103.1fm, Leslie Ann will host members of the Susquehanna SPCA, who will tell us all about a special dog or cat at the shelter looking for its forever home.

This week, we're excited to tell you about Ariya, who was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived with lots of other cats and a dog. She was very timid at first, but she has blossomed into a very friendly lovable cat. This beautiful girl had severe dental disease upon arrival and has had two procedures to help her eat comfortably. Because the SQSPCA uses teeth to estimate an animal's age and Ariya's were in terrible condition, they were unable to come up with an exact age in years, but they estimate she is a seemingly healthy middle-aged adult. Ariya has been with the shelter for quite some time now because she often gets overlooked, but the staff promises that if you give Ariya a chance, she will definitely win your heart!

To meet Ariya or any of the other adoptable dogs and cats, give the SQSPCA a call at 607-547-8111 to schedule a time to visit for convenience, although walk-ins are welcome.

And here's something awesome from Five Star Subaru. Five Star is helping out the Susquehanna SPCA this month with cat and kitten adoptions, it's 50% off! Make an appointment to come and visit feline friends, #MakeADogsDay. Call the SQSPCA for details.
