Otsego County Welcomes First Baby In 2021

The area’s first baby of the year here in Otsego County was at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown on New Year's Day according to AllOTSEGO. Allan Cotton decided to arrive a week early at 9:31 a.m. but is a healthy 9 pounds, 3 ounces and 22 inches long.  Allan's parents are Mallory Diederichs and Scott Cotton from Dolgeville, NY.

And here's a fun fact: In 2020, 997 babies were born at the Bassett Birthing Center. Will we see more births in 2021? Only the stork knows.
