Thirteen New York counties, cities and towns are slated to receive a total of $1.7 million in state aid to help in the repair of storm damage incurred during Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee in 2011.

This additional money will be used to help repair local roads and bridges, with only 5 percent of the cost covered by local communities.

A total of $55,000 will go to Otsego and Chenango counties; $34,880 to Otsego County and $20,760 to Chenango County.
