Oneonta assessments are in.  Assessments were conducted by appraisal firm Emminger, Newton, Pigeon & Magyar. Below is a legal statement from the City of Oneonta regarding matters of complaints relating to assessed properties.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant of Sections 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law)

HEARING OF COMPLAINTS

Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the City of Oneonta, County of Otsego, State of New York, has completed the tentative assessment roll for the current year.

From May 1 to May 26, the assessment roll may be seen at the City Clerk’s office during regular business hours.

The Assessor will be in attendance with the tentative roll on:
May 9 from 1 pm to 5 pm at City Hall.
May 11 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at City Hall.
May 13 from 4 pm to 8 pm at City Hall.
May 20 from 1 pm to 5 pm at City Hall

The Board of Assessment Review will meet at City Hall on May 28 from 3 pm to 5 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any person believing himself to be aggrieved.
