Multiple Injuries and Vehicles Hit in Richfield Springs Crash

On Friday around 4 p.m., in the village of Richfield Springs, Otsego County police were sent to the scene of an accident on Main Street where seven vehicles were damaged and ten individuals were sent to hospitals. The Otsego County Sheriff's Office states that a New York State Fire vehicle that was traveling east along Main St. damaged multiple vehicles, covering a distance of about a half a mile from West Main St. to East St.

Deputies were assisted by the Richfield Springs Fire Department and New York State Police.  No details from the Sheriff's Office have been released as to the cause of the crash. The investigation is continuing and when complete, further details will be released.
