Log Truck Jack-Knifes and Dumps Load in Town of Delhi
The Delaware County Sheriff's Office has released information regarding an accident in the Town of Delhi Monday evening.
Oneonta resident 35-year-old David A. Stanton, was driving his tractor trailer loaded with logs on East Terry Clove Road and turned left onto County Route 2. As the truck was turning, the trailer, jack-knifed on the slush covered, slippery roadway, then partially rolled onto its side.
Stanton was not injured in the accident, but the highway remained closed to traffic for several hours while the logs were unloaded from the trailer and the tractor-trailer was removed from the roadway.
Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the Delhi Fire Department and Delaware County Department of Public Works.
