I'm a nature lover.  I love being outside and really enjoy the fresh air, especially when out in nature.   I try to spend plenty of time outdoors, especially when warm weather arrives as it did yesterday.  It was an amazing, warm day and I spent quite a bit of time outside in the yard and even went to far as to get my hammock out to enjoy some reading time.

After dinner, I went outside to put away the hammock and as I was walking to it, I felt a very large drop of wetness on the top of my head.  I thought to myself, "Wow, that sure was a big droplet of water!".  Then I reached up to wet spot on my head and my hand came away with gooey, black gunk on it.  Eeeewwwww!  I look up and sure enough, there was a plump robin perched up in the tree above, looking all too pleased with itself.

I am 50 years old and have spent countless hours outside over my lifetime and never been pooped on by a bird!  The odds of it happening are rather slim, so slim in fact that there's a Turkish superstition that holds the belief that being pooped on by a bird is actually good luck. So I guess, instead of being grossed out, I should be thankful and wait for good luck to come my way?  I'll take it.  It beats thinking I've got a big target on my head!
