A Robin Takes Liberties With My Wreath And More
I don't know what was going on Saturday morning but I saw two VERY unusual sights.
I had woken up early and was outside, enjoying the beautiful morning with the birds chirping all around me, when suddenly over the rooftops of Oneonta, a beautiful rainbow-colored hot air balloon appeared. Do you believe in good omens? I do now.
At the time, it seemed like a good sign since it's such a rare thing to behold and I figured that meant I was going to have a good day. Guess what? I had a great day! It could be a simple matter of self fulfilling prophesy but who cares?
And then, a bizarre siting: a Robin decided to make a nest on top of a wreath on my front door. What was it thinking?! I guess there's a reason why the phrase "bird brain" refers to an idiot.
