Today, we celebrate the birthday of the most well known social networking site to date: Facebook It was invented by Harvard student, Mark Zuckerberg in February of 2004 as a social networking site for Harvard students and took off from there to what we know today.

If you want to get in to the whole history of Facebook, how it began, and a look into how Mark Zuckerberg created it, I would highly recommend seeing the movie, "The Social Network" from 2010.  This movie based on the true story of how Facebook began, was not sanctioned by Mark Zuckerberg and it's hard to know how much of it is fact and fiction.  It certainly does not portray Facebook's founder in a good light, but I found it very worth watching.  Check out the trailer below.

Regardless of how Facebook began and the cyber bullying issues that come along with it, it does have positive significance:  it's a wonderful way to stay connected with friends and loved ones around the world, and a great vehicle to share positive messages and information.
