What started as a joke at a street festival in Vancouver, British Columbia quickly became a huge seller.  You won't even be able to guess what it is: unfiltered hot dog water!  Vendor Douglas Bevans thought to sell it on a lark for a whopping $37.99 per bottle and was certainly surprised when it caught on and he's even having trouble keeping up with demand at this point.

This pretty much shows that people will buy anything whether it sounds good or not. We've seen this same concept at the New York State fair with the creation of new crazy fried food products each year.  It's all about marketing it seems which is reflected in Bevans' Hot Dog Water label that sports the following message:

“Hot Dog Water in its absurdity hopes to encourage critical thinking related to product marketing and the significant role it can play in our purchasing choices."

I second that Bevans!
