Halloween Costumes Sure Have Changed From When I Was A Kid

Ahhh, this takes you back doesn't it?  Back to the days when store-bought costumes were...well, not exactly breathable.  I remember the ones pictured above very well.  It's easy to remember because there was very little variety back in those days.  Little to choose from meant that unless someone's parents (usually the mom) went to a lot of trouble to create a homemade Halloween costume, then you saw the same purchased ones again and again on Halloween night.  I liked that they came in a box, compared to today's lame plastic bag that you can't put the costume back in for storage because it gets ripped up, as kids excitedly open their new costume.

By the way, I had the creepy clown costume (third from left above) when I was a little kid in the early 70's.  Did you have one of these?
