Ladies, here's something you should know: one in four women are sexually assaulted in their lifetime.  It's time to be proactive and learn to protect yourself with a Women's Self Defense Workshop offered this Saturday, October 4th from 1pm to 4pm at Oneonta Taekwon Do, 203 Main Street, Oneonta.  You can participate for free, however, donations are being encouraged to help raise funds for Opportunities For Otsego's Violence Intervention Program.

Amy Dexter

Here's what you'll learn in the workshop from Self Defense Expert Instructor Amy Dexter:

  • Realistic defense moves
  • Practice responses to verbal threats
  • Share and learn from other women, Therapists, Police, and Specialists
  • How to empower yourself, friends, and family

Listen below to important statistics about local violent crime from OFO's Megan Stanley and more info about the workshop from Oneonta Taekwon Do owner Ray Mannion.
