Fire Leads To 1600 Delhi Residents Without Power

Portions of Delhi, Colchester and Kortright were in the dark yesterday due to a transformer fire at a NYSEG substation on Sherwood Road that started shortly after 4 p.m.  NYSEG crews were at the scene at about 4:45 p.m. as at one point 1,600 customers in Delhi were without power. According to the NYSEG website this morning, power has been restored to these areas.
