Drive Sober Campaign Runs Through Monday
The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles is warning everyone that law enforcement agencies statewide are cracking down on impaired driving through Monday for the holiday weekend. The STOP-DWI “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign is designed to reduce alcohol and other drug-related traffic crashes. During the 2018 enforcement campaign nearly 4,000 ticket for impaired driving were handed out along with more than 165,000 citations for other vehicle and traffic law violations. New York now has an app called “Have A Plan” which can be used to find a ride share service or report a suspected impaired driver.
