There is a dire need for blood and platelet donations and not only can you save lives, but you can also be in the running to win tickets to next year's Super Bowl. Here's how you can help. According to News 10 ABC, The American Red Cross is in desperate need of blood and platelet donations as they enter National Blood Donor Month. As an extra incentive, they have teamed up with the National Football League (NFL) for a donor to win tickets to Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles next year in 2022.

There is also an added incentive for those who donate and don't win the Super Bowl LVI tickets. If you donate blood or platelets through January 20th, you could win the Big Game at Home package that includes a sixty-five inch TV and a five hundred dollar gift card to buy snacks and added fun to your big game party.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there is a national plasma shortage and also a dire need for blood donations. The Super Bowl tickets and Big Game package are a nice incentive, but think of how many lives you can help and potentially save.

If you have already had COVID-19, you can either donate whole blood or convalescent plasma. These donations can help those who are critically ill beat the virus and ultimately save lives.

There are a few ways you can set up an appointment to donate. You can go to the American Red Cross website, use the Red Cross Blood Donor app, call 1-800-RED-CROSS, or you can ask Amazon Alexa to give you the Blood Scheduling Skill.
