Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say they are looking to talk to anyone who may have information or may have been a victim of sexual contact at a Walton pizzeria.

The Sheriff’s office issued a news release Thursday, August 4 reporting that the previous day, Sheriff’s Deputies, members of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Special Response Team executed a search warrant at D’s Pizzeria, Incorporated located at 29735 State Highway 10 in the Town of Walton in relation to complaints against a registered sex offender allegedly involved in an incident involving a teenaged girl.

Authorities arrested 39-year-old Damien Falconio of Stamford for allegedly forcibly touching the 16-year-old and committing other acts which endangered the welfare of the child at D’s Pizzeria, which was described as Falconio’s “place of business.”

Falconio is charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, one count of Forcible Touching, one count of Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree and one count of felony Persistent Sexual Abuse which is a Class E Violent Felony Offense.

The authorities say as part of their investigation into the complaints, it was discovered that on June 29, 2012, Damien Falconio was convicted of felony Rape in the Third Degree in Otsego County Court.

The Stamford man was also separately convicted of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree on May 21, 2012 in Delaware County Court.

Falconio had been released from New York State Prison and registered as a Level Three Sex Offender as he was placed on New York State Parole Supervision.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Falconio had just completed his parole supervision on June 1st of this year.

Falconio was sent to the Delaware County Jail without bail following his arraignment this week in Village of Walton Court.

Authorities say the investigation is continuing, more charges are possible and they are asking any person or potential victim with information about any other incidents at the pizzeria or involving Falconio to contact investigators at (607) 832-5961.
