All crimes described in police media releases are allegations. Named suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

State troopers arrested 35-year-old Tadd Sherwood of Oneonta and charged him with multiple felonies. Officers say Sherwood fired a shotgun that could have caused the death of another person. He’s charged with attempted murder and six counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Sherwood is a convicted felon who is not allowed to have guns.

Alec Hollenbeck, 19, of Lincklaen, and Duane Hollenbeck, 53, of Moravia, are facing multiple felonies related to possession of illegal firearms. State police say the men were in possession of numerous “ghost” guns, guns without serial numbers, and large capacity ammunition devices that are illegal in New York.

Francesco Carotenuto, 56, was arrested by state troopers and charged with two felonies related to sexual acts performed by a child. In a separate action, Carotenuto was charged with seven counts of torturing and injuring animals.

Delaware County sheriff’s deputies arrested 31-year-old James Cook and charged him with burglary, a class C felony, and several misdemeanors including criminal mischief, aggravated harassment and criminal trespass. The charges are related to a dispute with his landlord.

30-year-old Kassondra Pierce of Hamden was arrested by Delaware County deputies and accused of physical abuse of a juvenile. Pierce allegedly struck a child causing bruising of the victim’s skin.

Oneonta police charged Dionnace Campbell, 31, with criminal possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and appearing in public under the influence.
