There are some people who you just can't imagine falling prey to mortality.  "Dear Abby" advice columnist, Pauline Friedman Phillips, who used the pen name "Abigail Van Buren" has passed away at the age of 94 following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.   You may remember that her twin sister was Esther Friedman Lederer, who wrote the Ann Landers advice column and died in 2002.

What a pair those two were, giving solid, common sense advice to millions of newspaper readers across the country. Phillips began writing the "Dear Abby" column in 1956 and after she was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease, she began sharing the byline with her daughter Jeanne beginning in the year 2000.

I think some of her best advice is featured in the following:  "Fear less; hope more. Eat less; chew more. Talk less; say more. Hate less; love more."  How can anyone argue with such words of wisdom?  Yes Dear Abby, you will be missed.
