Deadline Approaching for Star Property Tax Exemption

All eligible homeowners are required to re-register for their basic Star Property Tax Exemption.

Area homeowners, even those currently receiving the property tax exemption, must re-register to be enrolled in the program. The re-registration applies only to Basic Star, not the Enhanced Star Program for Seniors.

Hundreds of thousands of homeowners have received or will be receiving telephone calls reminding them to register for the Basic STAR property tax exemption.The deadline to register is December 31st.
