Cooperstown is on the brink of the largest gathering of Baseball Hall of Famers with this weekend's Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.  Featured this year will be a record number- 59 Hall of Famers in Cooperstown.

Fans can enjoy seeing these legends Saturday evening starting at 6:00 p.m. with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s Parade of Legends. It's a great chance to see these baseball greats up close.  The parade is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and will start on Chestnut Street and proceed down Main Street before ending up at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

One of the best viewing spots for baseball fans to see these legends is Pioneer Park, at the corner of Main and Pioneer streets. Plus, you can hear announcements introducing all of the Hall of Fame members and parade participants.

Hall of Famers in the parade will ride in trucks provided by Ford Motor Company and this will include Class of 2019 members Harold Baines, Edgar Martinez, Mike Mussina, Mariano Rivera and Lee Smith.  The sixth member of the Class of 2019, the late Roy Halladay, will be honored posthumously at the July 21 Induction Ceremony.

Prior to the Parade of Legends, the Hall of Fame Awards Presentation which is free and open to the public will be held at Doubleday Field starting at 4:30 p.m. This one-hour program will feature the presentation of the J.G. Taylor Spink Award for meritorious contributions to baseball writing to Jayson Stark of The Athletic. The late Al Helfer will be posthumously honored with the Ford C. Frick Award for broadcast excellence. Returning Hall of Famers will watch the Awards Presentation from seats on the Doubleday Field stage.
