A Cooperstown developer along with an Albany area town justice are facing charges of bilking more than $4 million from the family trusts of three sisters. According to Atttorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office Thomas Lagan and former Guilderland town attorney Richard Sherwood stole the money from Warren and Pauline Bruggeman of Niskayuna along with Bruggeman’s two sisters while serving as advisers to them. Lagan once lived in the Capital Region but now owns properties in Cooperstown.
