Convicted Murderer Ramsaran Sentenced to 25 Years to Life

Nearly two years after Jennifer Ramsaran was reported missing from her home in New Berlin. her husband Ganesh "Remy" Ramsaran was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for her murder. Ramsaran was found guilty of 2nd degree murder September 23rd in Chenango County Court. , His wife's body was found in February 2013 in a ditch on a rural road in the Town of Pharsalia.  At his sentencing Ramsaran lashed out in the courtroom showing no respect for the judge.   During Court, Ramsaran was also arraigned on a count of of bribery 2nd degree in connection with an incident where Ramsaran attempted to bribe a corrections officer with 100 thousand dollars to help him escape from jail. District Attorney Joseph McBride recommended that Ramsaran never be released from prison for what he did to his wife. Following Monday's sentencing, Ramsaran was taken to State Prison.
