The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office report arresting a Chenango pair on March 28th for animal cruelty.

Alexander Griffin, 25, and Laura L. Griffin, 37, of the Town of Bainbridge are alleged to have left a dog tied up outside for several hours in inclement weather without providing adequate food, shelter, and water as required by New York state law. It was later determined that the dog in question had also suffered a fractured leg.

The Griffins are are charged with one count each of animal cruelty and failure to provide adequate shelter. They will appear in the Town of Bainbridge Court at a later date.
