This might shock you.  I was fairly stunned when I discovered that The Lingerie Football League has decided to to rename itself the “Legends Football League” and take itself more seriously.  According to Wikipedia.org, "The Lingerie Bowl is an annual Super Bowl halftime alternative shown on pay-per-view TV which first aired back in 2004. It features a game of full-contact American football with female athletes playing seven-on-seven tackle football.  The players in the game wear helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads, knee pads, garters, bras, and panties. "  The League decided to get rid of the garters, bras and panties (don't get too excited yet guys!).  Instead, the ladies will have redesigned uniforms that offer greater protection, complete with better shoulder pads.  The league states that the change was made to stop being “viewed as a gimmick” and legitimize the sport by focusing on its athletes’ talents, rather than their bodies."

Do you think that will work out for them?  I'm skeptical since I think that women's sports are traditionally a hard sell to audiences.  I think the league may discover that it takes "skin to win".
