The Presidents of the New York State Sheriff's Association and New York State Association of Chiefs of Police sent a letter to Governor Andrew Cuomo calling for more leadership and less rhetoric following the death of Minneapolis resident George Floyd at the hands of police.

The letter calls for Cuomo to involve all stakeholders in the police reform process that the Governor outlined last week. They say the time has come to effect positive change without endangering officers or the communities that they serve.
