Do you need another sign that we are in the spring season?  Maybe you do after the recent snowfall.  The Community Foundation for South Central New York has announced their 2021 Spring Grants.  This Johnson City Based Foundation helps out non-profits in five Counties but let's focus on Otsego County.

Let's start with The Preservation League of New York State and their $8,000 grant going towards capacity building workshops for historic site directors.  The Susquehanna SPCA received $5,000 in financial support for a shelter security system.  Another 5-grand goes to Rural Health Network of South Central New York to be applied towards their Rural Food Retail Initiative.  $3,500 is being distributed to Cherry Valley Artworks to support a Summer Sculpture Art Trail.  Richfield Springs Library now has $3,000 to use for library programming.

Summer Savoyards was granted $2,500 to help fund their 60th anniversary virtual program.  Richfield Springs Community Center was granted a little over 15-hundred to put towards an AED machine.   The Edmeston Free Library will get some support for their Children's Room and updated equipment thanks to $1,250.  One more non-profit to mention and that is Springfield Library.  A $1,500 grant will help fund their 150th Anniversary programs and celebration.
