The 19th annual Ricky J. Parisian Pit Run was held on Sunday morning in Oneonta. There were three first time winners and one past winner winning this year’s 5k and 10k races in the male and the female divisions.

The first runner to cross the finish line was a first time winner in the 5k race Eli Townsend of Delhi in a time of 18:09.

The first woman to cross the finish line in the 5k race was also a first time winner, Julie Hillson of Bovina Center in a time of 21:22.

This year’s winner of the 10k race was Josh Edmonds of Cooperstown in a time of 31:57. Edmonds finished in second place in last year’s 10k race.

The lone past winner was Amanda Lopiccolo, of Oneonta, who also won the race in 2010, was the first female to cross the line in the 10k race with a time of 37:51.

Just fewer than 2,000 people turned out to watch the road races. The weather was cloudy with temperatures in the mid 40’s, but the consensus of the nearly 900 runners who participated in the two races was that the weather was ideal for running.
