Most of us are aware that we have too much stuff and we'd love to get rid of a lot of things in our home but can you imagine getting rid of ten things in your house every day for a whole year?  That's the mission of Vivienne Palmer of Boulder, Colorado who's de-cluttering project is called "Project 3650" for the number of objects she plans on getting rid of.

You would think that would be hard to do right?  Palmer claims it's very easy and that she's already said goodbye to almost 2000 items.  She also says that she's going to keep it going for a whole year and won't stop when she gets to 3650 things and might even get up to 10,000 items!

To keep herself on track with this project, Palmer has created a blog and posts about it on processofeliminationblog.com. You may wonder how she gets rid of her stuff: many items are given away, while more valuable things are sold on eBay or Craigslist.

I love this idea!  I don't think most of us realize how many things we have that we just don't need or use and how much our cluttered environment affects us in a negative way.  I personally love getting rid of things.  Usually, I just give stuff away to Family Service Association or the Salvation Army.  My rule of thumb is that if I haven't used the item (including clothes) then out it goes.  Give it a try, it feels to good!
