When I think of ventriloquism, I think of a ventriloquist dummy that I just had to have in the Sears catalog when I was a kid.  His name was Charlie McCarthy, made famous by actor and radio performer, Edgar Bergen. I never remotely mastered the art of talking without moving my lips but have always been impressed and amazed at ventriloquists' uncanny ability to do that.

You don't come across ventriloquists very often but one who's very popular today, who I think is hilarious, is English actress and comedian, Nina Conti.  I have a live performance bit of hers at the Apollo Theater, that is laugh out loud funny.  Go ahead and enjoy!  Then share with friends.  It's a great way to start the weekend.
