Prime Air is a package delivery project that Amazon.com has been developing to increase package delivery efficiency and drastically cut delivery time down to 30 minutes.  How do they do it?  With unmanned aerial vehicles. Apparently, Amazon is just in the testing phase and expects it to be a number of years before this technology gets deployed to deliver packages.

I don't know about you but it seems like there are some big obstacles with this idea: weather damage to the robot or package, attacks by large birds, crashes with birds, people stealing the robots, and customer expense of paying for this delivery since it can't be cheap.  All that aside, I guess when you get an idea, you've got to start somewhere, right?
