Rain Shoe Cover: Best Or Worst Product Yet?

Whenever I'm on Amazon.com, it never ceases to amaze me just how many products for anything and everything there are!  I happened to see this product for the first time advertised on Facebook and do you know what my first thought was?  I LOVE the idea of keeping my shoes dry in wet weather but these are NOT fashionable, in fact, they look goofy.  But then again, no one used to think anything of wearing galoshes as late as the 1970's.  When people stopped wearing those, the idea of keeping your shoes dry went out too...until now.  The question is, who's going to be the first brave person to wear these around and brave the fashion faux pas ridicule?  I'm afraid it won't be me!
