Prevent Being Towed In Oneonta During Winter Storm
Otsego and Delaware counties are in the midst of a Winter Storm Warning until 10am Friday morning, which means with 8 to 12 inches of snowfall predicted between today and tonight, it stands to reason that a snow emergency for Oneonta will be put into place.
A snow emergency means that PARKING IS NOT ALLOWED on streets when 2 1/2 inches of more of snow falls. When a snow emergency is issued, anyone parked on a street in Oneonta can be ticketed and towed at their expense. After checking out the Oneonta Police Department's Facebook page, the cost of towing has been ranging from $155 to $170. Don't let it happen to you and share this reminder with all your Facebook friends!
