Nearly 3,500 New Yorkers have used the new Department of Motor Vehicles online voter registration website since the Aug. 16 initiative, which streamlines DMV services by allowing New Yorkers to apply to register to vote, or update their address or party enrollment.

New York is ranked 47th in the nation in voter registration, with less than 64% of eligible residents registered to vote.

The website can be found at https://my.dmv.ny.gov/CRM/index.cfm and can be used by any New Yorker with a driver’s license or non-driver id.
