ONEONTA, N.Y. — Thirteen area residents graduated recently from Leadership Otsego, a biennial program offered through SUNY Oneonta’s Center for Economic and Community Development and designed to prepare future leaders of Otsego County.

Members of the Leadership Otsego Class of 2012 are: Elizabeth Anderson, Barbara Champlin; Beth Child; Bryce Frederick; Amy Gonsalves, David Hayes; Stacie Haynes, Ned Marcalus, Patrick Mente, Michael O’Donnell; Lyle Smith, Stacey Smith and Erin VanDewerker.

Started in 1997 with support from the Future for Oneonta Foundation, Hartwick College, the Otsego County Chamber, SUNY Oneonta and United Way of Delaware & Otsego Counties, Leadership Otsego has 82 graduates representing a variety of ages, occupations, employers, interests and hometowns throughout the county.

The Leadership Otsego curriculum teaches leadership concepts and skills through discussions with a variety of local experts. People interested in participating in Leadership Otsego can call CECD Director Tim Hayes at 436-2792 to make arrangements to be notified when applications for the Class of 2014 are available.
