High Winds Hitting Delaware County

Much of the Village of Walton is without power this morning.

At approximately 2:30 this morning strong wind gusts felled a tree which took down two power poles on Liberty Street. All streets between High and Liberty Streets, extending to Franklin Road, are currently without power.

NYSEG officials are going to cut the main power line this morning which will affect all areas of the village until the power can be restored.

Walton Central Schools are closed, as are the village offices and several businesses.
