Hartwick College Athletics will host its annual Wine & Beer Tasting Reception & Benefit Auction at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 10 at Stella Luna Ristorante, 58 Market St. in Oneonta.

Now in its ninth year, the annual event typically raises more than $25,000 for Hartwick College Athletics, bringing together more than 100 alumni, parents and friends of Hartwick College, including scores of local supporters of the Hawks.

Auction items have been generously donated by local businesses, alumni, parents and friends of the College. They include a seven-night stay in a country cottage in the Lake District region of England; four tickets in the exclusive EMC Club at Fenway Park to the Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees game on July 7; a refurbished antique railway car coffee table; an iPad; a hand-crafted artisan butcher block table; a number of high profile vintage wines; autographed Manchester United and New York Red Bulls and New England Revolution game shirts; New York Yankees tickets; New York Red Bull tickets;  New York Jets tickets and; a coaching book, coaching DVD and team training session compliments of nationally renowned professional soccer coach Jeff Tipping '78, among other items.

A donation of $35 per person or $60 per couple includes a wine and beer tasting, as well as hors d'oeuvres. Reservations are requested.
