The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard will host its 19th Annual Antique Engine Show Saturday and Sunday, August 25 & 26. Single-cylinder gas engine enthusiasts around the region will join together in displaying their prized antiques from the early 1900’s. New to the show this year is John and Kris Dingman’s 1921, 7-hp. Galloway Masterpiece. Returning for a second year is David Lambert’s 1903, 15-horsepower Reid Engine weighing in at over 5000 pounds with 5-foot diameter flywheels! These impressive power-plants will be demonstrated thought the show. The Engine Show will be held rain or shine both days from 10:00 until 4:00. Admission and parking are free.

On Saturday-only the Mill will hold its annual inventory reduction tent sale in conjunction with the Fly Creek Community Day area-wide lawn sales. The entire Fly Creek Valley will bustle with over 50 lawn sales, shows and special events. Saturday morning starts with a pancake breakfast served at the Fly Creek Fire Hall from 7:30 – 11:00. Tired and hungry shoppers can refresh themselves at the Fly Creek Cider Mill’s Snack Barn or at the Grange Hall where the Fly Creek Area Historical Society will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers starting at 11:00. The Fly Creek Methodist Church will hold a bake sale in addition to a large lawn sale on their grounds.
