Big Surprise On What Type of Food Is Now All The Rage [Poll]

If you were driving down a road lined with chain restaurants, which would be the one you would go to over all the others?  You might be surprised what fellow Americans are choosing more and more over all the others.

According to data from food researcher Technomic,  the most profitable American Food chain is Taco Bell, due to the growing popularity of mexican food.  It turns out that America is not the land of the burger, now tacos rule, outselling burgers and hot dogs.   People are now even buying more tortilla chips and salsa over potato chips and ketchup.  Looks like the ol' American staples are being replaced.  It's probably a good thing considering that hot dogs, hamburgers and potato chips are not exactly health foods.

I guess I'm joining the trend toward mexican food because I prefer that over a hamburger or hot dog.  First of all, I feel less guilty eating mexican cuisine since it's relatively healthier (depending on what you eat) and I love the sauces and flavors.  Now I want to know what your preference is.
