Watch ZZ Top’s Stage Return on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Following Dusty Hill’s Injury
Injury -- what injury? Dusty Hill made a triumphal return with ZZ Top on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' last night. Watch them perform 'Tush' in the video above; ZZ Top also tore through 'La Grange' and 'I Gotsta Get Paid,' both of which you can watch below.
A nasty tour-bus tumble by the bassist forced ZZ Top off the road late last year, briefly scuttling a shared tour with Jeff Beck. Healed up from the ensuing hip injury, Hill has now returned to the stage, rescheduling a series of dates along the way.
"We're looking forward to getting out there and rockin’ it with Dusty in a big way … 100 percent," ZZ Top said in a statement as the make-up dates were announced.
That, they most certainly did. 'I Gotsta Get Paid,' ZZ Top's opener on 'Kimmel,' was a single off their most recent studio effort, 2012's 'La Futura.' The set-closing 'La Grange' was extended to more than double the length of its original 1973 four-minute run time.
