Woman Arrested For Stealing From Disabled Person

State police arrested 49-year-old Penny A. Nober Monday on eight counts of forgery and one count of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or disabled person.

The arrest was made after an investigation into a reported theft of checks from a disabled person living on State Route 8 in Guilford. The investigation revealed that the individual's caregiver, Nober, seemed to have committed the crimes.

Ms. Nober was arraigned in Town of Guilford court and will reappear at a later date.
