On February 28, 2017, New York State Police at Binghamton arrested Kent G. Wheeler, age 41, of Windsor, NY for the misdemeanor of Assault 3rd degree and his girlfriend Karissa D. Tennant, age 35, for the felony of Criminal Mischief 3rd degree.

These arrests occurred after troopers had responded to a February 22, 2017, report of a road rage incident that ended on Place Road in the Town of Windsor. An investigation determined that just after a road rage incident with another motorist, Wheeler and his girlfriend had left their vehicle and approached the other motorist who was also stopped. Wheeler had punched the other motorist in the face several times causing an injury, while Tennant had kicked the other vehicle several times causing over $250 worth of damage.

The victim was treated at a local hospital for a laceration and released.

Wheeler and Tennant were issued tickets returnable to the Town of Windsor Court on March 7, 2017.
