The Oneonta School District is spearheading a wonderful project throughout the community to pay tribute to our local heroes--healthcare workers who are tirelessly putting themselves at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project is called "Oneonta Cares" and was created by Oneonta School District employees who are motivating staff and students to contribute messages, photos, and artwork which demonstrate their gratitude for all our local EMS and healthcare workers are doing for us all each day. These employees wanted to invite Oneonta community members to participate in this heartwarming project as well.

Oneonta School District Art teachers are coordinating the display of submissions from students and the community that will put up in places where EMS and healthcare workers are likely to see them as they head to work each day.

Please send your message of thanks to this email: wecare@oneontacsd.org. Remember, photographs (jpegs) and pdf items are accepted as well. New items will be put up each week. Plus, they will be shared on the on the district's webpage and facebook page.

Students may submit their art work by navigating to https://bit.ly/OCSDCares, where they will log in with their Google account and upload their art work.

This feel good project won't just benefit our hardworking and committed EMS and healthcare workers, it also feels good to know you are making a difference in contributing to the morale of these essential workers!
