Walton Burglary Arrest

The City of Oneonta Police Department arrested a 28 year old Walton man Sunday for 3rd degree burglary and petit larceny. Police say the charges are pursuant to an investigation into suspicious activity at a condemned and abandoned house. Arresting officers responded to a call of a suspicious person who was loading items that had been removed from the inside of an abandoned house. The subsequent investigation revealed that Lawrence Kern allegedly did not have permission to remove the items.
