The 8th Annual Cider Run to benefit the Susquehanna SPCA set for April 25 has been extended for participation. According to the Susquehanna SPCA, to further encourage participation, organizers have extended registration and participation from Saturday, April 25 through Saturday, May 2. That means you can either walk, run, skip, spin, dance, or move however you wish to participate and you can do it wherever you want as well, of course maintaining social distance from others to stay safe.

Participants are invited to share videos and photos of their experience on the Cider Run Facebook page. The Cider Run committee will be monitoring the activity and winners in various categories will be announced. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories like most scenic route, who runs or walks with the most dogs, best musical accompaniment during the race, and more.

Shelter Executive Director Stacie Haynes says, "Our shelter needs your support now more than ever and we hope this event gives everyone -- the serious athlete as well as the family of five -- something to look forward to during this stressful and uncertain time. "It can be as serious or as silly as you want it to be".

In addition to the extension to May 2nd to participate, organizers have lowered the registration fee as well. It's now $15 for adults and $5 for children.
